Mr. Gupta

Mr. Gupta is a product of Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS). He graduated from the Academy of Finance business program at Gaithersburg High School.

He then attended the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Robert H. Smith School of Business. He eventually pursued graduate studies, earning a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) and then a Master of Education degree in School Administration from Touro University Nevada.

Mr. Gupta spent four years working in hotel convention sales for both Hilton Hotels Corporation and Caesars Entertainment. He transitioned into education and consulted for the United States Department of Defense (DOD) and was appointed to serve a two-year term by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval for Nevada Department of Education’s Commission for Professional Standards in Education. Here he voted on legislation to attract and retain quality educators in one of the nation’s highest needed teacher markets.

For five years, Mr. Gupta worked for the Clark County School District (CCSD), the fifth largest school district in the United States. He served as a magnet business teacher and was quickly promoted to Learning Strategist. He also coached boys varsity golf. Mr. Gupta accepted the position of Assistant Principal for a K-8, public charter school, and served in that capacity for one year prior to relocating back to his home state of Maryland.In 2016, Mr. Gupta returned to MCPS, the very system that he graduated from. He now serves as the Coordinator for Northwest High School’s Academy of Finance business program.

In his spare time, Mr. Gupta enjoys time spent with his wife, Sangeeta, two daughters, Leela and Meera, two dogs, friends and family. He enjoys traveling the world, going to the beach, professional sports and reading. Favorite quotation: “Be the change you wish to see in the world” -M.K. Gandhi
